About The Book

College Station - Land of Tradition
Limited Edition Art Print
No. 2 in the Texas Originals Series
15"x19", hand-numbered & limited to 254 copies

Taken in 1929 in front of Foster Hall at what was then called the Agricultural & Mechanical College of Texas. Yep...these are Aggies.
Foster Hall was a red brick residence hall built in 1889 which stood until 1951.
Here we see fish Jones grab his spats in preparation of receiving a message of sorts. An inscription on the back of the original photo describes this scene as "Sophomore Privilege." Aggies have always taken their traditions very seriously.
The edition is small. Truly limited. There are only 254 hand-numbered copies (that's the number of counties in Texas.)
This is a high quality giclee print measuring 15 by 19 inches. The paper is acid free, cold press cotton watercolor with an elegant, ever-so-lightly textured finish. This surface allows the inks to "bite," reproducing the shading and tonality of the original image richly, beautifully and exactly. The inks are guaranteed colorfast for 80 years, which means you won't have to spring for UV glass when framing this Aggie gem. You can hang your print in direct sunlight if you wish and it will be just as bright when passed on to the next generation as it is today.
This is a print that is sure to garner comments from all who see it. Get yours before the edition closes and they're all gone.
